Russians called VK Fest the most popular festival in the country
The research company OMI (Online Market Intelligence) found that Russian residents consider VK Fest the most popular festival in the country and one of the most beloved music events. Awareness of the festival increased to 70 percent over the year, it says in a VK press release.
According to the study, music festivals are among the top three most popular events. Their main visitors are young people aged 25 to 34 years. The survey also found that 89 percent of respondents learn about music festivals from bloggers, online advertising or social media.
In Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sirius (Sochi), on average, more than half of all VK Fest visitors are tourists from other regions. In 2023, 59 percent of nonresident guests came to the capital specifically for the festival; in Sirius, 78 percent of visitors were vacationers at resorts.
The most popular VK Fest celebrities were named Russian blogger Dima Maslennikov, singers Valya Karnival and Klava Koku.
Earlier, VKontakte announced the names of artists who will perform at the VK Fest festival in the summer of 2024. In 2024, the festival will be held for the ninth time. In 2023, it brought together 200 thousand spectators and 500 artists, entering the Russian Book of Records as an event with the largest number of performing stars.
