The samba singer and presenter of National Radio of Rio de JaneiroRubem Confete, is one of those honored in the special series of the Brazilian Press Association (ABI) to mark Black Awareness Day, celebrated this Monday (20).
At 86 years old, Confete is a griô, the one who keeps the group’s memory alive, who tells the stories and myths of African culture.

The Gustavo de Lacerda Journalist Collection is a partnership between ABI and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), which brings together testimonies from black Brazilian journalists on various topics.
