Years pass, but the passion for speed never seems to wane Max Biaggi. On Monday, the “Corsair” added a new feat to his resume, becoming the speed record holder on an electric motorcycle.
Riding a Voxan Wattman, a motorcycle that mounts the same powertrain as the Mercedes and the Venturi of Formula E, he even managed to reach 455.737 km / h at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. A speed that has given him the record for partially faired electric motorcycles under 300 kg.
This value was calculated on the basis of the FIA regulations, ie on the distance of one kilometer in opposite directions and with a flying start, with the two “shots” that had to be included in a period not exceeding two hours.
The 455.737 km / h are therefore the average of the speeds recorded in the two attempts, but in absolute values the Roman centaur went even further: the top speed reached was in fact 470.257 km / h. A monstrous speed if we think that the 362.4 reached by MotoGP this season already impressed.
This, however, is only one of the firsts established earlier this week, although it is probably the most ambitious. The complete list in fact includes the beauty of 21. In the video below, you can see the realization of this great undertaking.
