Genoa – The public prosecutor Fabrizio Givri asked for an 8-year sentence for Fahd Chebbi, a Moroccan accused of having threatened, beaten and intimidated together with another cellmate Luca Delfino, in prison after being sentenced to 16 years for the murder of Antonella Multari, the former massacred in Sanremo in 2007.
The story dates back to 2018. Chebbi and another inmate allegedly beat, threatened and intimidated Delfino in prison. The other cellmate has already been sentenced to 6 years and ten months in the second degree for injuries and aggravated extortion. Delfino, assisted by the lawyer Riccardo Lamonaca, had reported continuous intimidation: the two companions would have forced him to buy food, clothes and tobacco. They also allegedly forced him to appoint a lawyer against his wishes. Today, before the prosecutor’s request, Chebbi explained that he only wanted to defend his cellmate because “Luca was obsessed with him, he subjected him and wouldn’t even let him come and play football with us”. Delfino is now hospitalized in the Rems (Residence for the execution of security measures) in Genoa Pra’ because he is still considered socially dangerous.
