Putin: The Russian Federation agrees to resume negotiations with Kiev, taking into account previous agreements
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow agrees to resume the process of peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, subject to taking into account previously reached agreements.
Let them return, but they return not based on what one side wants, but on the basis of those agreements of a fundamental nature that were reached during difficult negotiations in Belarus and Turkey
The Russian leader added that it will be necessary to take into account the situation that has developed “on the ground” as a result of the hostilities.

Moscow favors negotiations with Kyiv
Putin recalled that Moscow stands for negotiations with Kiev and has not prohibited anyone from conducting them.
We are for negotiations. After this, again at the instigation and at the suggestion of their Western sponsors, owners, [Украине] the goal was set to achieve the strategic defeat of Russia and victory over Russia on the battlefield
He noted that the agreements reached in Istanbul suited both the Russian and Ukrainian sides, but it was Kyiv that decided to withdraw from the process of peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Earlier, Reuters, citing sources, reported that Putin is allegedly ready for peace negotiations on Ukraine if their results result in the fixation of the current front line.
In its publication, the agency also reported the words of Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who said that Russia is ready for a peaceful dialogue with Ukraine, but excludes the transfer of new Russian regions to Kyiv.
The president’s press secretary, in turn, clarified that Moscow is not ready to begin negotiations on Ukraine on the condition that the conflict is frozen along the current front line.
When negotiating with Ukraine, you need to understand with whom to sign documents
When resuming negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, it is necessary to understand the legitimacy of the Kyiv authorities and with whom documents can be signed, Putin explained. He emphasized that Moscow must be completely confident that it is reaching an agreement with the legitimate leadership of the republic.
This question must be answered in Ukraine itself. First of all, I think that from the position of parliament, the constitutional court, or some other government bodies
The head of state recalled that Moscow has never refused to return to dialogue. His press secretary Dmitry Peskov clarified that Putin has repeatedly spoken about his readiness for negotiations. At the same time, he emphasized that negotiations require achieving the goals set within the framework of a special military operation in Ukraine.

Putin spoke about Zelensky’s legitimacy
The Russian leader said that the legitimacy of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has ended. According to him, the Kremlin is aware that Zelensky’s term of office has expired.
I think that one of the goals of the conference, which was announced in Switzerland, is precisely for the Western community, the sponsors of the current Kyiv regime, to confirm the legitimacy of the current head of state or an inactive one
Earlier, Kremlin official Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the situation with Zelensky’s legitimacy, noted that the question of his status should be decided by the Ukrainians themselves. Legally, the extension of the powers of the President of Ukraine, which expired on May 20, could be formalized by the country’s constitutional court, he suggested.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, at a press conference following a meeting with Putin, said that there is “no and cannot be” legal clarity on the issue of Zelensky’s legitimacy due to the state of the judicial system in Ukraine. “This is democracy: neither the Constitutional Court nor other courts can say anything,” the Belarusian leader explained.
