Lithuania proposed creating a “wall of drones” on the border with Russia and Belarus
The Lithuanian authorities, together with other countries that border Russia, are planning to build a “wall of drones” to protect their borders, the country’s Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite said. About it reports Sputnik Lithuania.
After a meeting in Riga with colleagues from Latvia and Estonia, as well as Finland, Norway and Poland, she noted that Russia and Belarus are allegedly constantly trying to “destabilize the internal security and public order” of the countries in the region.
“First of all, we must think about evacuating the population on a regional scale, as well as protecting the external border of the EU with the help of drones,” the head of the department called for solutions.
Earlier it became known that the Lithuanian government would terminate a number of agreements with Russia and Belarus, including those relating to the protection of investments, as well as trade and economic relations.
