Helsinki The district court has fined a captain who worked in the Finnish crisis management forces in Iraq for misconduct. The man had spoken generally of women in a derogatory tone and named them. The acts took place in 2019.
The captain, for example, had named a woman Satan’s stupid civilian and fucking idiot. He called the other a fucking dude and a tavern whore, among other things.
The female soldier had been referred to as a “little miss”.
The man had also disseminated secret information about a woman’s health.
As Human Resources Manager the working captain received a fine of 35 days for service misconduct and breach of professional secrecy. The income to be paid with his income will be 1,155 euros.
The court also ordered the captain to pay compensation of 600 euros to one of the women. The woman had claimed a total of € 2,000 in compensation for the mental suffering caused by the injuries.
The district court also fined a military lawyer who had taken the sun naked. He received a 15-day fine for service offenses, or a fine of 810 euros.
