Hill: Biden must answer three questions about Ukraine to regain confidence
US President Joe Biden must answer three questions about Ukraine to regain American confidence. About it stated Hill columnist Liz Pick.
She recalled that during his visit to Poland, the head of state spoke about the Ukrainian conflict to the Poles and those who are in Kyiv. The journalist wondered when was the last time a politician spoke to his citizens and explained to them the strategy of the United States in Ukraine.
Pick said the first question Biden needs to answer is what is Washington’s and NATO allies’ plan for the situation in Ukraine. The second is related to corruption in the country, the columnist added. She asked if the American money that goes to help Kyiv is being stolen.
“The third question Americans should be asking is, at what point do we say enough is enough?” — emphasized the author of the article. She asked how much more the US administration is ready to spend on the Ukrainian conflict, if there are limits to this funding, and what they are – two hundred billion, three hundred, or another amount.
Earlier, Reuters reported, citing a source among US officials, that the US administration warned the Ukrainian authorities that Washington does not have inexhaustible resources to support Kyiv.
