The Colorado Avalanche is looking for another win against the Columbus Blue Jackets in Tampere on Saturday.
Colorado Avalanche continued from where it left off on Friday, when it faced the Columbus Blue Jackets in a pair of NHL hockey matches played at Tampere’s Nokia Arena.
On Friday, the NHL’s reigning champion was better with numbers 6–3, and the team’s number one star had put together 3+1 performances Mikko Rantanen.
Saturday was the team’s second Finnish attacker Artturi Lehkonen start scoring already in the opening minute of the match.
Lehkonen was able to attack by Nathan McKinnon with against one Columbus defender. McKinnon pulled the defender into him and passed Lehkonen in front of the half-empty goal. Lehkonen had an easy task to knock over his third hit of the season Joonas Korpisalowith only 33 seconds left in the game.
Rantanen got an assist in the goal, so his visit to Finland has turned out to be really fruitful for him.
The match is at 1-1 in the first period. Columbus scored the equalizer Boone Jenner.
