The video of a dog theft in an apartment in Nola (Naples) sparked the manhunt to bring a poodle puppy back to its six and four year old owners. Two children to whom their parents had given Totó, five months, four weeks ago, and who are now desperate for a theft that has gone viral on social networks after the report by the regional councilor of Europa Verde, Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
In the video of the surveillance system, a man is seen climbing over the enclosure wall of an internal terrace, holding the visibly frightened dog in his arms. The man, before leaving the building, slips the puppy, who is crying, into the jacket and then makes him lose his tracks. «My children have been crying since yesterday – explains Luigi Piscitelli, owner of the dog – that man first sneaked into the park and then onto our terrace, taking advantage of our absence yesterday morning. When we returned and didn’t find the dog, we looked at the surveillance videos and found out what had happened. We reported the incident and handed the video to law enforcement. Totó has a microchip and we hope that someone will help us find it. We are also willing to give a reward to those who help us bring him home ».
«They are very strong images – commented Borrelli instead – we cannot understand the reason for such a gesture that we condemn in the most absolute way. We hope that through the video it will be possible to trace the author of this kidnapping who must be brought to justice ».
