Tel Aviv is protected by Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system. The Israeli armed forces have not said whether the air defenses managed to stop all the missiles.
The Jerusalem Post tellsthat rescue authorities are investigating whether one of the missiles hit the Tel Aviv area.
Two o’clock after the Israeli Armed Forces said on the message service X that there are alarms warning of an airstrike in Tel Aviv and the central parts of Israel. News agency AFP reports that sirens have not been heard in the Tel Aviv area for weeks.
Haaretz reports that Hamas announced the attack as a response to Israel’s “massacre against civilians”.
