Formula 1|The Alpine team is looking for an expert who would help the team to be more successful.
Formula the number one Alpine team has had poor success in the past season. Now the Italian Corriere della Serra and the French L’Equipe say that the team is hiring a 74-year-old as an advisor Flavio Briatorea.
An Italian and a French newspaper tells about the news Autosport.
Alpine has neither admitted nor denied the matter. According to the stable’s statement, it has been in contact with several experts to get better results.
If Briatore’s arrival is confirmed, it might even arouse strong reactions in the Formula Ones.
Briatore is the former team manager of the Benetton and Renault teams. While at Renault, which is now called Alpine, he was the main factor in the “crash scandal” at the 2008 Singapore race.
He also ordered Renault second Nelson Piquet Jr to drive a crash on purpose so that the safety car would come to the track and Fernando Alonso the chances of winning would improve.
The FIA, the international umbrella organization of motorsport, imposed a lifetime ban on Briatore, which was later overturned by a French court order.
Last March, Briatore underwent surgery to remove a benign tumor from his heart.
