The most famous of Liike Nyt's European election candidates is former Social Democrats MP Satu Taavitsainen.
Liike Nytin chairman Harry Harkimo does not intend to run for office in the European elections, the party says in its press release.
“Harkimo thinks that he has just been elected to the parliament and it would be a betrayal of the voters to go to the EU elections”, the decision is justified in the party's press release.
Neither did Liike Nyt's candidate, Harkimo's son, who received the second most votes in the last parliamentary election Joel Harkimo is not running for office in the European elections.
By name One of Liike Nyt's European election candidates is a former member of parliament, executive director and Mikkeli city councilor of the Social Democrats Fairy tale Taavitsainen.
Taavitsainen also represented the Social Democrats in the previous European elections, where he came in second place.
