Just twenty-four hours before the crime, the teenager had shared a song titled “Don’t Do It, Please” on YouTube.
A chilling story, a feminicide perhaps among the most shocking of recent times. The protagonists are a teenager, Hacer Cagla Cetinalp, and her ex-boyfriend, her killer, who brutally hit her with an impressive number of blows to her body. Many more than those who are actually fatal, as often happens in murders driven by personal, perverse and sentimental motives.
It’s about around 120 stab wounds, of which certainly only the first ones were fatal. The young woman, a teenager whose age is unclear, was, in no uncertain terms, massacred by her ex-boyfriend, a peer of hers. We are located in a large city in Turkey in Izmir, in the Karabaglar district, along the coast of the Aegean Sea.

The very ugly one discovery it was made by Hacer’s 54-year-old father. The man, who had been the prime suspect practically from the start, was initially detained by the authorities, but later released. He told the police that he lived alone after separating from his wife, and that his daughter had been living with her mother for some time.
On June 15, the day of the murder, the young woman went to visit him together with the man who introduced himself as her ex-boyfriend, a peer of the teenager. The two went to talk privately, and the father left the house. Only upon returning did he find his daughter inside a lake of blood. There was no sign of the young man. He immediately raised the alarm and police and medical teams rushed to the scene.
For Hacer, however, there was nothing left to do. The 15-year-old was arrested shortly after with themurder weapon in his possession. There was no longer any doubt. In his first statement, the young man, UEY, claimed that, however, Hacer was still his girlfriend and that he suspected he was being cheated on, which is why he stabbed her repeatedly and fled.
The body of the fifteen-year-old was transferred to the morgue of the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Izmir after examination by the public prosecutor. According to Turkish media reports, Hacer Ç.C. he loved singing and playing the guitar. Alone twenty-four hours earlier of the crime, the teenager had shared a song on YouTube entitled “Don’t do it, please”, sung in his own voice. A title that now seems truly disturbing.
