The National Water Company in Saudi Arabia explained that the quantities of water that were pumped and distributed through public networks on the day of the endowment in Upper Arafat in Mecca and the Holy Sites the day before yesterday, approached one billion liters of water, of which the Holy Sites’ share was 286 million liters, while more than 704 were distributed. The company added that its operational operations and water supplies are proceeding according to what was previously planned to serve the pilgrims, with continuous pumping around the clock to the holy sites and the facilities of the Grand Mosque, in addition to continuing to pump water to the neighborhoods served by the network in Mecca at a rate of 21 hours per day, confirming that there will be no interruptions affecting the network. Its operational operations are maintained and the field teams remain fully prepared to respond to any emergency.
The company indicated that on the Day of Arafat, it conducted more than 4,840 laboratory tests, in order to ensure the quality of the water provided to the pilgrims through fixed and mobile laboratories in Mecca and the Holy Sites.
