Londoner the glass display case of the doctor’s office is full of breast implants of different sizes.
Above them stands a row of thank you cards. Patients have remembered Dr Riccardo Fratia.
In the “circles” of London, plastic surgeon Frati is known by the nickname Povijumala.
Plastic surgeon Riccardo Frati works in England and Dubai.
Frati is especially famous for its breast surgeries, although the private clinic offers much more.
“Breasts are still the most popular [kauneusleikkaus]. We make 300-400 of them a year,” Frati tells a small group of international correspondents at his reception in London.
The most popular cup size in Britain is said to be DD.
“Here, we want big, but unnatural. You can see from the breasts that they have been enlarged.”
Povi can also be seen in several paintings in the reception room.

Breasts enlargement is a lasting trend. A fashion trend, on the other hand, is a facelift. And not just any facelift, but the improvement of the so-called Ozempic face.
Ozempic is a popular new drug used to treat type 2 diabetes. The medicine is also effective for weight control, and therefore it is also used as a slimming medicine.
What worries Dr. Frat is that lay people order diet pills from the black market and self-medicate. The consequences can be nasty.
“You can see it on the face. Sudden weight loss causes big changes – wrinkles appear on the forehead and the middle part of the face becomes lighter.”
A frat come to the reception for a facelift when new problems have arisen from sudden weight loss.
“We tighten the skin, take botox and fillers.”
Improving the Ozempic face can easily cost at least 2,000 pounds, or about 2,350 euros.
Not all patients even want to admit that they bought a diet pill online.
A wrinkled face is not the worst consequence of using diet pills. Frati lists the known dangers: vomiting, pancreatitis, and stomach and intestinal problems.
“Nausea can strike even in the middle of a visit to the gym or a work meeting.”
Italian born However, Frati is not against diet pills, quite the opposite.
Overweight is a global problem. In 2022, 2.5 billion of the world’s adults will be overweight, evaluate World Health Organization (WHO). There were about 890 million significantly obese people.
If excess weight could be controlled, people would live healthier. It would also save money.
in England 64 percent of adults are overweight. The fattest are those aged 55–64. British Govt your line last year that weight loss drugs should be offered to even more people.
“However, the slimming drug is not a quick fix that is taken before the beach season starts,” says Frati.
Or without medical supervision.
The medicine also does not replace life support. If you plan to lose weight permanently, you must eat healthily, exercise and reduce alcohol consumption to a minimum.
Ozempic has the Danish Novo Nordisk –a pharmaceutical company a successful product that was approved for the US market in 2017. Since then, it has become popular in Britain as well as in Finland.
The company’s second hit medicine is Wegovy, branded as a slimming medicine. Its active ingredient is semaglutide.
Ozempic and Wegovy medicines in a pharmacy in London. Buying from a pharmacy requires a prescription from either a public healthcare doctor or a private doctor. A monthly dose of Ozempic costs about 175 pounds, or 205 euros.
Investors have been excited about the Danish company’s miracle drugs. Novo Nordisk’s stock market value is the highest in Europe.
Slimming drugs from other companies have entered and are entering the market. According to Frat, the game-changer is when the slimming drug can be easily taken as a pill instead of the current injection.
Doctor Frat’s London reception is located on Harley Street, which has been known as a doctor’s street since the 19th century.
The sign of a nearby house says that a speech therapist received his patients there between 1926 and 1952 Lionel Logue. His most famous client was the king George VIas Finns remember from the film The King’s Speech.
In addition to London, Frati sees patients in Manchester and Dubai. The proportion of women is said to be 80–90 percent. The share of men is increasing.
Wegovy is also used as injections.
Male patients are, according to Frat, more difficult customers than women.
They say there are narcissists among men. The groundwork prior to treatments must be done even more carefully than usual.
Whereas women prefer breast surgery, men usually choose rhinoplasty, liposuction or fillers.
According to Frat, more and more gender corrections are also being made. Trans women (i.e. biological men) are given breasts and their faces are modified to make them more feminine.
At the Frat clinic, breast enlargement and reduction surgeries cost at least 8,800 euros. Postpartum body enhancement starts at 18,800 euros. You can get a new nose for less than 6,000 euros.
in Britain almost 26,000 aesthetic surgeries were performed last year, according to recent members of the Association of Plastic Surgeons studies.
The reduction from the previous year is 16 percent. The decline is explained by the economic recession.
Even from Britain, people go abroad, such as Turkey, for cheap surgeries.
Failures are being corrected in the home country. Inexpensive treatments abroad attract a younger clientele in particular.
Frat has noticed that even people in their twenties and skinny people are after diet pills.
“Skinny people think they’re fat, even though they’re not.”
According to Frat, you shouldn’t take Ozempic when you’re skinny, because if you don’t have fat, you’ll lose muscle.
And even if there is fat, you lose weight first from your face and breasts, and then only from your stomach.
