The rivalry between Stellantis and Tesla shifts… to social media. On Twitter to be precise, an inevitable scenario after the 44 billion agreement with which Elon Musk bought the bird platform was formalized last Thursday. The group’s reaction to the news of the Tesla CEO’s acquisition of Twitter came at the hands of Citroenwho chose to publish a tweet that reads: “Hello to the social media platform owned by one of our rivals.”
Hello to the social media platform owned by one of our competitors
– Citroën (@Citroen) October 28, 2022
A twitter as cheeky as it is eloquent, which perfectly describes and represents the situation in which the car manufacturers are on Twitter right now. Recall that Citroen, although not currently active on the US market, is in the midst of its electrification process in Europe, in the wake of strategy of Stellantis which plans to sell only electric vehicles by the end of the decade in the Old Continent. To date, in Europe Citroen boasts a wide range of electric models, from the ë-C4 to the ë-C4 X passing through the ë-Berlingo and the small Ami EV. We’ll see if Musk’s acquisition of Twitter will affect the content produced from Citroen on the social platform of the little bird, what is certain is that the media battle between Stellantis and Tesla has already begun: for information, ask Citroen.
