The incident occurred around 7:19 p.m. (local time), when officers “responded to 2400 Carnes Avenue for a shooting” that occurred in the context of “a block party that was occurring without a permit” and in the that “there were approximately between 200 and 300 people.”
At first the Police notified a total of 16 victims, but during the follow-up investigation they have rectified the initial information, pointing out that there were eight victims in total – two of them died instantly. “We believe that the error occurred with several victims, who were reported multiple times,” they clarified.
