Among the dozens of volunteers in the activities of the world short-distance swimming championship “25 meters” Abu Dhabi 2021, the team of young volunteers from the champions and swimmers of the Emirates Heritage Club attracted attention in the tournament with their dedication in performing various tasks in order to make the organization of the tournament successful, and the number of participants reached about 20 swimmers. Of different ages, starting from the age of 12, led by their young coach, Mohammed Asaad Al-Madhoun, were present at the event, “Abu Dhabi International Water Games Festival”, accompanied by the swimmers of the participating teams carrying plastic boxes containing the belongings of the swimmers participating in various competitions.
Captain Mohammed Asaad Al-Madhoun said, “Volunteering is the supreme goal of the group of swimmers participating from the Abu Dhabi Heritage Club, in addition to the competition. The duo Ahmed Al Marzouqi and Mohammed Al Hammadi were among the UAE national team’s list as representatives of the club’s swimmers.”
He added, “Holding the most important event in the swimming game on the land of the Emirates and the beloved capital Abu Dhabi, required concerted efforts, and we made ourselves a part of the event regardless of the place of participation, in order to reflect a bright image of the successful hosting with the testimony of all participating delegations.”
The leader of the Emirates Heritage swimmers group considered that the good knowledge balance of the future champions of the participants as volunteers in the World Swimming Championships was an important factor, and he explained, “By virtue of the experiences gained by young swimmers during the local championships and previous participations, it was easy to harmonize with the different work teams, and to commit with the technical instructions required from the organizers.
Captain Mohamed Asaad Al-Madhoun continued, “Participation in these international events also increases the personal motivation of young swimmers to make greater efforts during the coming period, in the hope of representing national teams in various forums, and we look forward to such participations being reflected in the future of young players.”
