Robbery with violence is one of the main hypotheses in the murder of the 63-year-old French tourist whose body was found last Thursday with stab wounds inside her motorhome in Alcossebre (Castellón). This was confirmed by sources close to the investigation, who confirm that at the moment there are no arrests for these events and emphasize that, along with robbery, different hypotheses remain open.
The Civil Guard has ruled out sexual assault in the violent death of the woman “one hundred percent,” the security force has said. This is, for the moment, the only certainty that has emerged from the investigation being carried out by the agents of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Castellón to clarify the cause of the crime.
The tourist was travelling alone – with the only company of her two dogs – in the motorhome in which she was found with several stab wounds, according to several witnesses. She was also not seen with companions in Tarragona, where she spent the night days before the crime, according to the government delegate in the Valencian community, Pilar Bernabé.
The victim’s lifeless body was found inside the motorhome in which he was travelling, parked in Camí l’Atall, a beach area in the tourist town on the north coast of the province of Castellón. It has not been revealed who raised the alarm.
Several occupants of caravans next to the deceased woman’s vehicle indicated that the vehicle had been parked in the area for two days and that they had seen a man in the company of the woman.
