Expert Vasiliev named the top breakdowns in an empty apartment
The first thing Russians were advised to do after returning from vacation was to check their bathrooms and plumbing for leaks. This and other advice was shared with Russians by construction materials expert, founder and CEO of the company Glavsnab, Fyodor Vasiliev, whose commentary was made available to Lenta.ru.
During your absence, a leak may have appeared in the bathroom due to a burst pipe or seal, and mold may have started to grow in the humid environment. If this happens, the leak must be fixed and the bathroom thoroughly washed.
The power grid can also present unpleasant surprises. To avoid a short circuit, it is advisable to turn off all electrical appliances before the trip. In the event of a short circuit, the owner of the apartment may lose expensive household appliances, the expert warned.

Neighbors can also be a source of trouble by causing a flood. In addition, when the owners return, they may be met by ants, moths or cockroaches. They will populate the kitchen if they find access to food in the cupboards or waste in the garbage can.
An unpleasant smell may appear in the apartment. Most often, it occurs due to problems with the water supply and sewerage. The problem is solved by thoroughly airing all the rooms.
Earlier, the founder and CEO of the company “Glavsnab” Fyodor Vasiliev advised Russians to do wet cleaning in their apartment, turn off the taps, check the gas stoves and turn off electrical appliances before going on vacation.
