As you may have noticed, Sony’s PlayStation Stars service is currently not accessible. The outage has continued for approximately two weeks. This is a rather long period of time, considering that part of PS Stars is based on completing small timed tasks.
The real problem, however, is that there are no official statements on the matter – other than an initial “there are problems and our engineers are working on it” – and users must contact user service to understand what is happening. Unfortunately, not even the latter is able to give coherent answers.
The words of technical support on PS Stars
Via Reddit users are showing text chats with Sony’s user service. In some cases it is explained that i Reward points will not be lost. In fact, you should know that by making a purchase on the PS Store, you obtain points which can then be converted into various rewards, from credit to digital collectibles.
Others, however, report completely opposite answers, with the support chat suggesting wait for the technical problems to be resolved to receive PS Stars points. Obviously it is possible that the support interest that until the service is accessible again, it will not be possible to see the accumulated points, but another interpretation is that there is a risk that no points will be assigned during this phase of inactivity.
PS Stars it is obviously not a fundamental service for playingbut if Sony offers it it is natural to expect that it will work correctly and that detailed information will be provided regarding what is happening.
We just have to wait to find out more details about it.
The rewards also include entire games, such as Stellar Blade.
