Kasper Hjulmand, coach of the Danish national team, expressed his dissatisfaction with his team’s 1-1 draw with Slovenia, in the first round of the third group of the European Championship 2024 in Germany.
The Denmark coach said: “I think we played well in the first half, and after the 70th minute we lost some energy, and we were not good enough. We missed a great opportunity and we were not positive.”
For his part, Christian Eriksen, who won the Man of the Match award, said: “It is annoying when you lose the lead, think you have achieved what you want, and then waste points in the end.” On the other hand, the Slovenian national team was happy to obtain a point in the team’s first participation in 24 years and the second in its history, but coach Matthias Kek believes that there is room for his team to develop.
Kikk said: “We have another match in four days, and there is a great feeling of satisfaction, and there will be room for development.”
He added: “In the first half, if we had taken different measures or been more precise and corrected our mistakes, we might have been able to equalize early.”
