The Ministry of Education (MEC) registered 5,055,699 registrations for the National High School Exam (Enem) in 2024. The number could still increase because the federal government will guarantee an extra period for candidates from Rio Grande do Sul to register, between June 16th and 21st.
The definitive number of confirmed registrations and the participant’s profile will be released after all payments of the registration fee of R$85 have been cleared. The deadline will end on Wednesday (19). Payment is made through a Banco do Brasil bank slip, made available to the registrant after accessing the exam system, through the Login unique of Gov.br.

More than half of those registered (2,731,757) will not need to pay the registration fee because their exemption request was approved by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep). Graduates, that is, those in the last year of high school, correspond to 1,655,721 registrants, of which 1,330,364 registrations in this group were free and 325,357 must be paid.
The number of registrants in 2024 exceeds those of recent editions. In 2023, Enem had 3.9 million subscribers. In 2022, more than 3.39 million registered for the exam, recognized as the main gateway to higher education.

Rio Grande do Sul
Only for residents of Rio Grande do Sul, the Participant Page was reopened this Sunday (16), when the extra registration period will begin.
The deadline is 11:59 pm next Friday (21).
For candidates who live in the state, registration is free. The Ministry of Education is still evaluating the need to apply the tests on a new date for participants from municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul.
