The Porto Alegre (RS) A05 bus line will now connect, on an emergency basis, the neighborhood of Anchieta and the region of the Rio Grande do Sul Supply Center (Ceasa) to the Aeroporto terminal station, of the Porto Alegre Urban Train Company ( Trensurb),. Services will resume from this Monday (17th), to facilitate and speed up the movement of people living in areas most flooded by the flood of the Guaíba River, which occurred in the state in May. The so-called Terminal Trensurb Indústrias feeder line will return to work at the original headquarters, after the public calamity situation
Trips on this line, picking up passengers and dropping them off at the Trensurb station, will be carried out at 20-minute intervals, from 6am to 8pm. Integrated transport is guaranteed to be free if boarding another line of the public transport system takes place within 30 minutes.

According to the Municipal Secretariat of Urban Mobility (SMMU) of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, tomorrow the transversal lines T5 and T11 will also extend service to users in the region up to the junction of Avenida das Indústrias and Severo Dullius. The terminal for these two lines will be at Aeroporto do Trensurb station, on Avenida dos Estados.
The Municipal Department of Urban Mobility reminds us, however, that the circulation of humanitarian aid vehicles in corridors and exclusive bus lanes may still compromise the regularity of the operation. Therefore, it advises that passengers consult the Cittamobi application, available for smartphones on iOS and Android systems.
All notifications about lines, changed routes and the location of buses in real time, with GPS in 100% of the fleet, are updated in this application.
Return of activities
Public transport in Porto Alegre already accounts for 94% of the travel supply, compared to the period before the record flood in the city. Porto Alegre City Hall states that passenger demand reached 88% of the volume of users transported before the weather event.
Other bus lines that resumed operations this Saturday (15) were T3, T8 and T12, in operation at the original terminal on Avenida Poland, on Rua Voluntários da Pátria, in the São Geraldo neighborhood.
“We expand public transport every day, as the roads are freed up”, said, in a note, the municipal secretary of Urban Mobility, Adão de Castro Júnior.
