Pensions, in July more money on the payslip with the fourteenth
In July, i pensioners who have reached 64 years of age and whose income does not exceed twice the amount of the minimum pension will receive a fourteenth month’s salary. This year, the maximum increase expected for next month can reach up to 655 euros.
This increase was calculated based on the percentage change in consumer price indices, as reported from Istat on November 7, 2023 compared to the previous year. It is important to remember that adjustments to pension benefits take place according to the rules in force starting from 1 January 2024.

In accordance with law no. 127 of 3 August 2007, modified by article 1, paragraph 187, of law no. 232 of 11 December 2016, those who meet the requirements by July receive the payment in this month, while those who meet them between August and December will receive the amount at the end of the year.
The calculation of fourteenth varies based on the pensioner’s income and also considers the years of contributions paid and the nature of the work, whether employed or self-employed.
For the pensioners with an income of less than 11,672.89 euros, the amounts of the fourteenth of July are determined as follows:
– 437 euros for employees with at least 15 years of contributions and self-employed workers with at least 18 years of contributions;
– 546 euros for employees with 15 and 25 years of contributions and self-employed workers with 18 and 28 years of contributions;
– 655 euros for employees with over 25 years of contributions and self-employed workers with over 28 years of contributions.
For the pensioners with an income exceeding 11,672.89 euros, the amounts are as follows:
– 336 euros for employees with 15 years of contributions and self-employed workers with 18 years of contributions;
– 420 euros for employees with 15 and 25 years of contributions and self-employed workers with 18 and 28 years of contributions;
– 504 euros for employees with over 25 years of contributions and self-employed workers with over 28 years of contributions.
