The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), defended again on Thursday night, the 6th, to an audience of businessmen, the privatization of Sabesp. At an event promoted by Galapagos Capital, the governor stated that those who are against privatization have not delved deeper into the issue, and, if they did, “they would change their minds”.
Criticizing the “apostles of delay” who are against the process, the governor stated that issues such as the universalization of sanitation and the cleaning of the State’s rivers will benefit from the process. The state leader also said again that privatization will keep the tariff “always on a lower curve” than it would be if it remained in the current model.
