In Monaco to repeat Miami
A decidedly special weekend is about to open for the McLaren on that day Montecarlo, both from an ‘aesthetic’ point of view, with the MCL38 which will take to the track with a green-gold livery in memory of Ayrton Senna, and a sporting one. After Norris’ victory in Miami and the latter’s near success last week in Imola, there is great optimism for the British team as they await the eighth round of the season.
Target not far away
A confirmation, among many, also came from the recent words of Oscar Piastri, Norris’ teammate and looking for his first success in the top flight. The Australian, speaking to the official Formula 1 channels, clarified how the challenge between McLaren and its direct rivals, Red Bull and Ferrari, is open, but the potential to climb onto the top step of the podium close to the princely family of Monaco has everything.
Piastri’s words
“I think we are definitely in contention for victory in the Monaco GP – declared the person who will participate in the GP with a special helmet to remember Senna – we can have confidence considering the last two weeks, where we have been in the top places. We’ll wait to see what the starting order is but probably we, Ferrari and Red Bull will be very close. There is certainly optimism, but Red Bull and Ferrari are obviously difficult teams to beat.”
