The Russian government approved a draft on the right of bailiffs to use weapons
In Russia, all bailiffs may be given the right to use firearms. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in the Cabinet of Ministers.
The corresponding bill was approved by the Russian Government Commission on Legislative Activities.
It follows from the text of the initiative that amendments are planned to be made to the law “On Compulsory Enforcement Bodies of the Russian Federation.” It is proposed to establish that all employees of enforcement agencies can use special means, physical force and firearms in a number of cases that will be established by law.
It is noted that if the bill is adopted, all employees will be required to undergo special training and be tested at least once a year for suitability for such actions.
On the same day, the Russian Government approved a bill on criminal penalties for damaging property for political and ideological reasons. This means committing actions based on ideological, racial, national, political or religious hatred or enmity, as well as similar motives in relation to any social group.
