Keep on the rise of Alfa Romeo in Europe. The Italian brand is registering growing numbers, thanks to a relaunch strategy that has its main commercial weapon in Tonale. The new SUV has in fact driven sales in the Old Continent, to the point that the Biscione has overtaken Jaguar from the point of view of registrations in the partial year of 2022. According to data released by Jato Dynamics, the Stellantis brand has overtaken the brand English during the month of July, when it collected 16,145 units sold, against the 15,449 of Jaguar which suffered a decline of 41% compared to the same period in 2021.
The figure bodes well for the strategies developed by Jean-Philippe Imparato, considering that the Alfa Romeo range currently includes only 3 models, Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale precisely while the British brand has almost double the number of cars in its line-up compared to the Italian car manufacturer. The results obtained in the first part of 2022 by Biscione also satisfy the CEO of Stellantis Carlos Tavares, who has repeatedly reiterated his desire to relaunch the historical brands of the group by giving them the opportunity to find their own dimension within the company: “Alfa Romeo’s turnaround in terms of profitability has now been achieved. We now have margins per unit which are exactly what we expect from a premium brand. Thanks to the synergies of the group we have made and will make the best of our technology available to Alfa ”.
On the same wavelength too Learnedwho reiterated how the presence of a clear strategy and a concrete path to refer to in the medium to long term are the keys to continue this growth and consolidate the brand’s position also at an international level: “Stability and not changing course every morning are essential for us”.
