In Russia, the activities of four foreign organizations are recognized as undesirable, including Bellingcat (recognized as a foreign agent) and The Insider (recognized as a foreign agent). This was announced on Friday, July 15, in press service Prosecutor General’s Office.
“A decision was made to recognize the undesirable activities of foreign non-governmental organizations Bellingcat Ltd. (Great Britain), Stichting Bellingcat (Netherlands), The Insider (Latvia), CEELI Institute (Czech Republic),” the agency said.
As explained in the Prosecutor General’s Office, the investigators found that the activities of these organizations pose a threat to the foundations of the constitutional order and the security of Russia.
The department sent information about the decision taken to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in order to include these organizations in the list of undesirable, which now contains 56 names.
