The World Games are held every 4 years, organized by the International Association of World Games, which was founded in 1980, and is an organization of 37 international sports federations with accreditation from the International Olympic Committee.
The list of the national jiu-jitsu team participating in this tournament includes Faisal Al Ketbi (85 kg), Muhammad Al-Omari (77 kg), Muhammad Al-Suwaidi (69 kg), and Shamma Al-Kalbani (63 kg).

The presence of four players from the national jiu-jitsu team in the World Games reflects the extent of the development of the sport of jiu-jitsu in the UAE, especially that participation in the tournament is based on a qualifying stage based on the achievements and classification of the players, and given the weight categories of the competitions, each of them includes Only about 6 players are among the best in the world, with a total of 96 male and female players from all over the world in different weight categories, which explains the exceptional importance of the tournament.
According to the classification of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the champion Faisal Al Ketbi, who competes in the weight of 85 kg, succeeded in topping the general international classification, after he achieved the silver of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship Abu Dhabi 2021, the gold of the Asian Championship in Mongolia 2019 and the gold of the Nur-Sultan Prize Championship in Kazakhstan 2019.
For his part, Mohamed Al-Omari, who competes in the 77kg weight category, managed to reserve his place in the championship, after he occupied the fourth place in the general classification approved by the International Federation with a number of participations in the qualifying tournaments and achieved the gold of the German Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2019.
In turn, Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, who is competing in the 69 kg category, succeeded in qualifying for the World Games after occupying fourth place in the classification, thanks to the accumulation of his qualifying points in a number of tournaments and his achievement of the bronze in the Asian Championship in Abu Dhabi 2021, and the bronze in the Asian Championship in Mongolia 2019.
Shamma Al Kalbani, the first Emirati player to participate in this tournament, who competes in the 63 kg category, qualified for the World Games after ranking sixth in the international classification and achieving bronze in the Asian Championship in Abu Dhabi in 2021.
