Lawyer Sébas Diekstra is furious about an email he received from the Music#MeToo Foundation in which he is questioned about transgressive behavior among ‘a former colleague’. In a response to twitter, he bites off: ‘Shut up with your made-up nonsense’.
According to Diekstra, he received an email today in which he is asked for a hearing. The email is about a former colleague of Diekstra who reportedly reported to the foundation with the story that Diekstra once touched her against her will. It would be something from before his career as a lawyer, which now lasts about ten years. Before that he was a member of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee.
On Twitter, Diekstra bites away at the foundation: ‘The allegations are completely false. I have been working as a lawyer for ten years now. Before that I worked for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. In the time I worked there I only attended a few events. I even invited my wife to the various rare events. But more importantly, nothing ever happened during my time on duty. There is also no victim and the accusations made by you are therefore also complete bullshit’.
Diekstra is in the abuse case around talent show The Voice various victims who would be victims of transgressive behaviour. The Music#MeToo foundation is also active in this and claims to assist various victims from the world of entertainment.

Diekstra continues on Twitter: ‘History shows that – at the expense of victims – you are blatantly always after media attention and the pursuit of effect and that you do not like doing thorough research or serving the interests of real #MeToo victims. not interested. Proof of this is the shocking video your foundation recently posted about the Voice scandal in which you take all the credit for that matter inappropriately.’
Diekstra says that he hardly got the chance to be heard again, but was immediately confronted with a press release. He then continues: ‘Apart from the damage you inflict on me, in this way you do not in the least do justice to the victims of sexual abuse who have found the strength to speak out in recent months. Your actions are therefore unacceptable to me and I hereby hold you liable for the damage suffered by me. I therefore reserve all rights, in particular with regard to taking legal action and reporting defamation’.
The legal advisor of the Music#MeToo foundation could not yet be reached for comment.
