Gaza (Union)
Yesterday, medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced that 493 health personnel had been killed, 310 others arrested, and 130 ambulances had been targeted since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza on October 7. Medical sources said yesterday, on the occasion of International Nurses Day, “The Israeli army destroyed the entire health system, and put 33 hospitals and 55 health centers out of service,” explaining that “The Israeli army still controls the crossings, prevents the entry of medicines and fuel, and prevents the exit of thousands of patients.” The sources added: “We have begun to lose what remains of our health services as a result of the continuation of the war and the failure to bring fuel to hospitals and ambulances.”
The sources called on all international institutions to protect hospitals and health centers, and to provide them with fuel and medicines, calling on international and human rights institutions around the world to put pressure on the Israeli army to release health and humanitarian personnel.
In this context, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced yesterday that the death toll from the war on the Strip had risen to 35,34 victims and 78,755 wounded since October 7, 2023.
