Hundreds of thousands of guests of the Most Merciful, pilgrims to the Holy House of God, flocked to the holy city of Mecca, to perform the Hajj, awaiting the start of the rituals that begin tomorrow, while the guests of the Most Merciful began to circumambulate the Kaaba in the Grand Mosque, and according to the Saudi authorities, 1.2 million people have arrived, from Not counting those from within the Kingdom.
In 2023, more than 1.8 million people participated, 90% of whom came from outside the Kingdom, most of them from Asian countries and the Arab world.
All government agencies in the Kingdom are working to facilitate movement inside and outside the Grand Mosque, and to organize the continuous movement of crowds of guests of God smoothly according to the places designated for prayer, performing rituals and preparing places for them to perform prayers, while activating all services and facilities, and providing “Zamzam watering” services, and means of transportation. All the comfort and tranquility that enables visitors to the Grand Mosque to perform prayers and acts of worship with ease and ease, according to what the Saudi News Agency “SPA” said yesterday.
She added, “The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque and the relevant authorities working in the Grand Mosque worked to organize the crowds in order to accommodate the increasing numbers of guests of God in the Grand Mosque and its courtyards, and to prepare all services to enable them to perform their rituals with ease and ease.”
In this context, the agency explained that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance provided services to the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visitation, a “frequency transportation” service around the clock for the program’s guests from their residences in Mecca to the Grand Mosque back and forth.
She continued: “The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, through the frequency transportation service for the program for guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation, aims to enable the Guests of God to travel via public transportation to and from the Grand Mosque, via routes specified by the competent authorities, and to reduce density and congestion in the central area during This year’s Hajj season, in order to contribute to facilitating all means for the guests of God, so that they can enjoy performing their religious rituals with ease and safety.
For its part, government agencies in Medina intensified their field work to send the remaining numbers of guests of the Most Merciful, pilgrims to the Holy House of God, to Mecca through bus departure centers and Dhu al-Hulayfa miqat around the clock.
The work of transporting pilgrims on the migration route in Medina is witnessing a high intensity amid a system of security and health services, and guidance and field guidance services for buses, to ensure the facilitation of the movement and transportation of pilgrims to Mecca with ease and integrated coordination between all parties related to Hajj work.
In continuation of the efforts made by the Ministry of Health to provide integrated care to the guests of God during the Hajj season 1445 AH, the Ministry explained that about 74 thousand pilgrims benefited from the various health services provided by health care centers, from the first day of the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah until the fourth day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH.
The Ministry of Health indicated that the health services provided to the guests of God varied between medical and specialized clinics, pharmacies, dialysis centers, intensive care rooms, and isolation units.
In addition, 15 open-heart surgeries, 181 cardiac catheterizations, and 536 dialysis operations were performed, in addition to 1,605 pilgrims being admitted to hospitals and medical centers to receive the necessary health care.
The Ministry of Health affirmed the commitment of the health system in the Kingdom to providing the highest levels of health care to the pilgrims, through its medical and administrative staff, health facilities and centers distributed in Mecca, Medina and the Holy Sites, to ensure their safety and comfort during the Hajj season.
