The Rada approved a bill to restrict access to the register of court decisions
The Verkhovna Rada in the first reading approved a bill to limit access to the register of court decisions, including mobilization cases. This was reported by Ukrainian MP from the European Solidarity party Irina Gerashchenko in Telegram-channel.
“We supported in the first reading the bill “On preventing the disclosure of certain information in the texts of court decisions,” the publication says. According to her, it is proposed to expand information that cannot be disclosed in the texts of court decisions that are open to the public, that is, to classify them.
Gerashchenko added that the project was criticized by human rights activists. As the deputy explained, the document restricts access to data of public interest. The bill proposes giving judges the discretion to remove information from court decisions that could harm security, she said.
Earlier, the Rada adopted a bill according to which military registration and enlistment offices will be able to fine citizens without a court decision for failure to notify of the receipt of new documents or change of place of residence. The document allows you to fine anyone, noted deputy Andrei Osadchuk.
