Titanfall 3 will it see the light, sooner or later? A job announcement published by Respawn Entertainment has rekindled hopes to see the new episode. The studio is in fact looking for a senior director with experience in multiplayer shooters.
According to the announcement details, the project would be in the initial stages of pre-production and there is nothing to confirm it is actually Titanfall 3, but considering that Vince Zampella said he wanted to do it, albeit at the right time and with the right idea, a possibility exists.
As we know, since the debut of Apex Legends, in 2019, Respawn Entertainment has been busy with the battle royale and its dense post-launch support, but over time the studio also had the opportunity to dedicate itself to other thingsalthough without great luck.
In fact, last February rumors circulated regarding the cancellation of The Mandalorian game signed by Respawn, and as dramatic as this situation it may have freed up resources to be dedicated to Titanfall 3.
Does it all depend on Electronic Arts?
Titanfall 2 was released in 2016, and a year later Electronic Arts announced that the series had surpassed 20 million players: very respectable numbers for a new intellectual property, which suggested the concrete possibility of a third chapter.
Respawn however decided to do something different, using the same narrative universe to give life to the aforementioned Apex Legends, which in a short time had over 100 million players, inevitably becoming one of the publisher’s flagship franchises.
Absolutely not wanting to give up on this success, it will be necessary to understand whether Zampella’s team actually has the resources to do so continue to adequately maintain post-launch support of his battle royale, while simultaneously dedicating himself to the development of Titanfall 3.
