It is not a secret that the Joy-Con Control drift is one of the biggest problems of the generation, and it seems that there is not much that can be done to solve this problem. However, third party companies are not giving up, and A new alternative has recently been revealed that promises to offer an end to this.
Recently, GuliKit announced that it is working on drift-resistant magnetic Hall-effect joysticks that feature on the Switch Pro Controller. Although details are scarce, We know that these accessories will be available at the end of the year, but there is no specific release date yet. Likewise, their prices are still a mystery, although this information will be available in the near future.
Although GuliKit’s focus is on offering a Joy-Con solution derived from Nintendo Switch controllers, the company has noted that these accessories are also being created with PlayStation and Xbox controllers in mind. While drift is something we associate with the Nintendo console, This is something that has become more common on the PS5’s DualSense.
We just have to wait for these accessories to be available to find out if the drift problem finally has a solution or not. On related topics, they assure that drift will not be present on the Switch 2. Likewise, they present DualSense control without this inconvenience.
Author’s Note:
Drift seems to be a problem without a clear solution. Not only does my Switch Pro Controller already have a bit of drift, but my first DualSense already has this problem, something I didn’t expect to see with Sony. I just hope this all gets fixed next generation.
