US Secretary of State Blinken criticizes ideas for peaceful settlement in Ukraine
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has criticized proposals for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine presented by other countries, which call for all parties to the conflict to de-escalate. This was reported by TASS.
“Other countries have presented their own proposals. Some of them do not mention the UN Charter and its provisions, and do not differentiate between the aggressor and the one who is being aggressed,” the Secretary of State explained.
According to Blinken, the implementation of such proposals would allegedly “embolden potential aggressors around the world.” However, he did not specify which countries he meant.
Earlier, Russian Presidential Secretary Dmitry Peskov spoke about the absence of conditions for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, “no outlines” for its completion are currently visible.
