The National Rehabilitation Center warned of severe health harm caused by electronic cigarettes and similar cigarettes, as it confirmed that they contain the harmful substance nicotine, which is the same substance found in all tobacco products.
The center warned that smoking electronic cigarettes stimulates addictive behavior and encourages non-smokers to use them because they think that they are not as harmful as other types of smoking.
The National Rehabilitation Center has identified seven health harms caused by nicotine, including addiction, high blood pressure, heart problems, heartburn and stomach upset, mood and sleep disturbances, narrowing of the coronary arteries and others, as well as the risk of clots.
