The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed its readiness for the travel season of citizens heading to perform Hajj rituals, and has also taken all necessary measures and procedures in order to ensure a smooth travel experience and has been keen to provide pioneering services to citizens around the clock. The Ministry stresses the importance of planning in advance for travel and reviewing the most important instructions for pilgrims by visiting the travel instructions page according to each destination on the Ministry’s website or smart application, noting the necessity of issuing Hajj permits before traveling, and taking the required basic doses of vaccinations, especially “influenza vaccination.” It is required to present the vaccination card when leaving the country’s ports to perform Hajj rituals. Nasser bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Consul General of the UAE in Jeddah, indicated the readiness of the diplomatic staff and relevant work teams in the Ministry to follow up on citizens’ issues 24 hours a day. A delegation from the Ministry has also been allocated to participate within the official Hajj delegation of the United Arab Emirates, which is affiliated with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments. He stressed the importance of registering for the “My Tawajodi” service through the Ministry’s website www.mofa.gov.ae or the smart application “UAEMOFA”, as the service enables the Ministry’s team to communicate with citizens and provide the necessary support. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is keen on the safety of the Emirati citizen during travel. The Ministry provides support to all citizens abroad around the clock and deals with emergency situations that citizens may be exposed to through the emergency line service 0097180024 designated for citizens of the country.
An electronic “return document” issuance service is also available, which enables the Emirati citizen residing outside the country to issue the document in less than 30 minutes that meets the conditions in the event of loss, damage, or expiration of the Emirati passport.
