The Pakistan Disaster Management Authority announced the death of 14 people due to floods during the past three days. Authority spokesman Jinan Saiq said that as a result of the floods and rains that struck 14 provinces, 140 residential homes were destroyed and more than 2,000 heads of livestock died.
He added: “During the past three days, due to the rain, 14 citizens died, and one person went missing. Also, 140 homes were completely or partially damaged.” Mohammad Ashraf, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works, also announced that some roads in Badakhshan, Takhar, Jor and Nuristan provinces have become closed due to landslides and floods.
