Putin recalled that during a trip to Yakutia he was afraid to touch his ears because of the frost
Russian President Vladimir Putin recalled his feelings from the cold during a winter trip to Yakutia and described them with the phrase “I thought my ears would break.” He said this phrase during a meeting with specialists who had chosen to work in the Far East; a video from the event was published by journalist Pavel Zarubin in his Telegram-channel.
As the head of state joked, he became afraid of touching his ears because of the minus 50 degree frost that he experienced in Yakutsk during his previous trip. “Temperatures are like that, of course! I remember I came in the winter, minus 50. I was afraid to touch my ears, I thought they would break. But nothing!” – the Russian leader recalled.
Putin did not specify what kind of trip he was talking about, but it is known that the president’s winter visit to Yakutsk took place in January 2006. IN Telegram– the channel “You listened to Mayak” recalled that at some moments of that trip the president was without a headdress.
The Russian leader visited Yakutsk first since 2014. The President planned to get acquainted with the achievements of the republic in the IT sphere and in the creative industry. In addition, Putin will hold a number of meetings on the development of the region, including with the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev.
