The drop in deliveries that Porsche witnessed in the first half of the year does not discourage the German carmaker at all. Which aims even higher in view of the end of 2022: the Stuttgart brand aims to score a revenue between 38 and 39 billion euros during this year, a forecast that if confirmed would be about 5 billion higher than the turnover recorded by Porsche in 2021. All this, as mentioned, despite sales in the first half of 2022 of the company are decreased by 5% globally.
As pointed out by Reuters, Porsche is aiming for a 20% or more return on sales in the long term, with a target of 17-18% for 2022, however up from 16% in 2021. To make that happen, the Stuttgart-based company has to resolve a series of issues that have gripped various car manufacturers globally for months. The situation on the Porsche was particularly striking in recent months Chinese market, where, due to the lockdowns imposed by the government and the consequent interruptions of supply chains, the sales of the German brand decreased by 16%. Numbers that should soon see a turnaround, however: CFO Lutz Meschke said he expects a second half strongest in Chinawhile CEO Oliver Blume added that June and July sales so far have been positive.
