three times world champion with Brazil (1958, 1962 and 1970), Pelé also had an outstanding role in the Conmebol tournaments, winning twice the Libertadores Cup with Santos, in 1962 and 1963.
The South American Football Confederation now pays tribute to Pelé, in a multimedia work that shows the importance of his work for world football.

This Saturday, the entity premiered a series of ten podcasts on the channel of the Conmebol Libertadores on Spotify.

Joshua Arantes, one of Pelé’s sons, participates in the podcasts, as well as two of the heirs to his mythical jersey 10 at Santos: Rodrygo, today a Real Madrid player, and Venezuelan Yeferson Soteldo.

The podcast will tell the anecdotes and stories of the legends Zico, Pepe, Manoel Maria, Edu, Clodoaldo, Lima, Abel and Mengalvio, some of these teammates of Pelé in Santos FC and in the Brazilian team; journalists Ariel Palacios, Celso Unzelte, Abel Neto, Day Natale, Felipe Leite, Ted Sartori and Fernando Martinho.
And they were also invited Guilherme Guarche, historian of Santos; Marcelo Carvalho, Director of the Racial Observatory and Carlos Massari and Aurélio Araújo, from Podcasts Copa Além da Copa.
The episodes are narrated by Diego Yudcovsky, in Spanish, and Marcelo Hazan, in Portuguese.

The first episode of the series tells how Pelé got started in football and his childhood anecdotes. But the rest of the podcasts will take a tour of his career, with an emphasis on the Libertadores titles; one of them, with an anecdote in a match against Boca Juniors in La Bombonera.
He will also talk about his three world crowns, the 1,283 goals he scored, the reference to Diego Maradona, his relationship on the pitch with Garrincha and the curiosities of his life.
Finally, a special chapter will be for the meaning of the number 10 shirt, which with its appearance in football became a myth.
