Currently, in Mexico, there are still train tracks for tourists who want to explore the beautiful landscapes of the country.
Train Puebla-Cholula
Inaugurated in 2017, this train is a good option for tourists visiting Puebla because it connects the historic downtown area with the archaeological zone of Cholula, on a route that covers 17.2 kilometers and lasts 40 minutes.
The municipalities through which the tourist train passes are: Puebla, Cuautlancingo, San Andrés Cholula and San Pedro Cholula.

This unit has a length of 38 meters with 3 articulated cars reaching a maximum speed of 100 km/h, but operating at 35 km/h.
Jose Cuervo Express Train
Tequila is the national drink and to learn about its production process and its agave landscape, which is a World Heritage Site, you have to get on this train that takes you to the Magical Town of Tequila: Jalisco.
This tour departs from Guadalajara and includes the trip to visit the agave fields with a demonstration of jima (the cutting of the agave leaves); also a tequila tasting, a tour of José Cuervo’s La Rojeña distillery and different shows with marichis and charrería.
El Chepe Train
Its name originates from the Chihuahua-Pacific route and it has been operating since 1961, it is the only passenger train in Mexico with a journey of 653 kilometers in 14 hours from Chihuahua (capital) to Los Mochis, Sinaloa, or in the opposite direction. .
The landscape that is observed is that of 2 states of Mexico (Sinaloa and Chihuahua). In addition to its 86 tunnels and 37 bridges, you can enjoy the different altitudes, ranging from 100 to 2,400 meters above sea level.

New routes
Last February, the deputy of the Morena party Miguel Torruco published on his social networks a map that contains the 11 lines of the train route that he proposes to connect the country in 2050, in a project that seeks to modernize the already existing Mexican railway system.
What the deputy raises in his proposal is that between the lines one of these would leave Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, and reach Tapachula, Chiapas; passing through 20 points in total such as Tepic, Guadalajara, Acapulco, Mazatlán, among others.
