The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah, said that initial investigations indicated that the incident was an individual act.
The Ministry affirmed Jordan’s firm position in rejecting and condemning violence and targeting civilians, calling for addressing the causes and escalatory steps that lead to violence.
Ambassador Qudah pointed out that Jordan is continuing its regional and international efforts and movements aimed at stopping the escalation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, leading to a comprehensive calm and ceasefire. He also stressed the need to launch a real political effort aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, in a way that ensures security and stability in the region.
The judges reaffirmed Jordan’s position calling for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as the only way to achieve security and peace in the region.
He warned of “the consequences of the continued Israeli aggression on Gaza and the escalation against the Palestinian people in the West Bank, and the serious repercussions that may result from that on the stability of the region.”
