The demand for manufacturing specialists in Russia in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 2 times, by 94%, compared to the same period in 2023. This conclusion was reached by Avito Works experts who studied the dynamics of the number of vacancies related to this area.
Analysts also named the most in-demand professions in industry, writes Lenta.Ru. According to their data, the demand for warehouse workers—sorters—has grown the most over the past year. The number of vacancies has increased 5 times compared to the first quarter of 2023. Average salary offers for new employees increased by almost 35%, amounting to 44,531 rubles per month.
Molders came in second place. Demand for them increased 4.8 times. In the first quarter of this year, new employees were offered an average of 62,355 rubles per month.
The search for foundry workers began to be 3.8 times more active, and the average salary offers for new employees reached 60,744 rubles per month.
The top five also included a slinger and a warehouse employee.
Crane operators, cutters, production line operators and loaders were also in demand. The top 10 is completed by milling operators, whose average offered salaries reached 137,637 rubles.
Earlier, on April 15, analysts at hh.ru, the largest online recruiting platform in Russia, presented a rating of the country’s regions by employment prospects in the second quarter of 2024. The leadership remained with the Republic of Tatarstan, however, compared to the first quarter, the top ten regions changed significantly.
Also in the top 10 regions in terms of employment prospects, with a small gap from each other, were the Amur Region, Jewish Autonomous Okrug, Trans-Baikal Territory, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Ryazan Region, Leningrad Region, Voronezh Region, St. Petersburg and Sverdlovsk Region.
Moscow ended up only in 61st place; in three months, the capital improved its position in the ranking, rising by four positions at once.
On April 11, Nikita Bugrov, director of hh.ru for work with strategic clients, told Izvestia that the current need for personnel for the labor market in Russia is 1.9 million people.
On April 3, Rosstat recorded a historical minimum unemployment rate of 2.8% in February, reports RT. The department noted that this is the minimum value for the entire period of observation of the indicator since 1991. The service emphasized that in February 2024, 2.1 million people aged 15 years and older were classified as unemployed, reports NSN.
