“The pharmaceutical industry is a central sector called to do something more to support a new model of care, undermined by the pandemic“. Thus Pasquale Frega, Country President of Novartis Italia and Ad Novartis Farma, speaking today at ‘Breakthrough Science’, an event promoted today by Novartis at Havas Village Italia in Milan and which precedes the Global initiative in Basel. Breakthrough Science objectives: to illustrate challenges and future scenarios of R&D in Italy and take stock of developments and prospects related to the Medical Affairs function.
Underlining the importance of innovation, Frega focused on “a series of issues on which we have begun to work to accompany a path of transformation, how to support the value of science and improve the relationship of trust with citizens”. Regarding the post-pandemic, Frega has no doubts: “It is necessary to make the most of the resources of the NRP, also with a view to greater collaboration with the Regions, and to develop a partnership between public and private, following the English example of the NHS, for a population medicine “. The event was also attended by Eva Runggdalier, Country Head of Trial Monitoring and Roberto Orsenigo, Medical Franchise Leader.
