TechCrunch: Kia released EV3 crossover with built-in AI based on ChatGPT
The Korean corporation Kia introduced the EV3 car, integrated with artificial intelligence (AI). On this noticed TechCrunch publication.
Kia EV3 received an on-board computer with a voice assistant. Company representatives said that it is a heavily redesigned version of ChatGPT, a popular chat bot from OpenAI. The crossover was also called the first car with built-in ChatGPT.
The large language model (LLM) was configured by the manufacturer so that the driver could switch music and radio by voice, build travel routes, and control other functions of the electric car. The released car also has two multimedia screens – for the driver and passenger.
The Kia EV3 has an 81.4 kilowatt-hour battery with a range of 600 kilometers. A special version of the GT-line electric car can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.5 seconds. The company said that the compact crossover is designed for city driving. The ChatGPT-equipped vehicle will go on sale in South Korea in July, and will appear in the US and Europe in the second half of the year.
At the beginning of the year, the German automaker Volkswagen promised to integrate the popular ChatGPT chatbot into its cars. The chatbot will be available in all current cars in the series, including Tiguan, Passat and Golf and ID electric cars.
